YOU have a choice: you can try this program risk free, and like all of us you will generate revenue over and over. This is a business opportunity in the advertising industry.

The biggest advantage here is that you do not have to recruit and you do not have to be at the computer, the management team does it all and you still make decent money.

I have been able to advertise my business for free AND have been able to earn revenue without doing a thing.
Both of the Banners Broker founders will be in Plainview on January 31st for the event. You can ask them all the questions you have and get answers right away. Would that be worth 1 hour of your time???

Banners Broker is already in over 100 countries around the globe.

This program is incredible and it is focused on HELPING others. With so many people hurting today and foreclosures going on this program is amazing.

Unlike other ad networks online, Banners Broker also offers an integrated solution that caters to both the advertiser and publisher. This is called our Combo Package. It enables you to advertise your business on numerous websites in the network and at the same time, earn advertising revenues as a publisher through specialized and targeted publisher sites created by Banners Broker.

While your website profits through its primary source of revenue, Banners Broker designs and implements a supplemental revenue stream for your business. Without any additional work on your part, they place designated ads on the pages of your choice that reach your target audience while earning you commission for each impression.

This is hands off: you earn revenue, advertise your business, and all the hard work is done by someone else.

Local business group celebrates fifth anniversary

Yvonne Osinga-Bisk remembers the day she started the Long Island Entrepreneurs Meetup group. She was without a job, new to the United States only gripped with the love of work and networking and achieving the American dream.

“I can’t believe it’s been five years,” Osinga-Bisk said. “It seems like only yesterday that I started this. The first meeting had five people and the second had three,” Osinga-Bisk said. “But from then on it grew to 10 people, then growing to about 20 people. Now on average, there are about 40 people that come to the meetings every month.”

NYBA’s 1st Anniversary Networking Extravaganza

  Vote
08 Oct

Thank you for your kind comments regarding NYBA’s 1st Anniversary Networking Extravaganza.     The event was an overall success.   What better way to do networking than to involve some of the other great networking groups out there.  Each group has its own uniqueness, so why not let others in the networking world now about them.  NYBA is a group that not only thinks about its own members but all other networkers as well.  Since we are an open group it only makes sense to network with everyone and let everyone know what else is available to them.   NYBA was very proud to be teaming up with groups like the LI Business Force; LIASB; The Hispanic Network; LI Connects; Greene Round Table and 516/631 ads.  Each and every one of the of them has so much to offer.

The event itself was not only unique but filled with so much good energy that everyone in the room felt it.   A lot of familiar and new faces for each person to see and meet.  We had such wonderful sponsors like:  Anna Greene of Citibank; Daniel Tuttle of Aflac; Jean Summit-Riker –Tranquility Base Life Coach, Chesley Ruffin of FDI Youngevity; Eileen Lichtenstein of Balance and Power; Brian Cohen of Strategies of Success; Don Leibowitz of NY Life Insurance Co.,; and Teresa Ward of Teresa’s Family Cleaning.

Donna Drake of Live it up TV brought some of her great magic to the event by just being Donna.  Donna has such a friendly, easy going, uplifting personality that she makes everyone she comes in contact with feel special.  We were honored to have her and her team interview such incredible, hardworking fellow Long Island networkers and their respective businesses.

NYBA was also blessed enough to have help putting together the music by Stevie Burke of Bounce Around LI and Jason Alexander of All In Entertainment.

Having this event at the 56th fighter group restaurant brought a comfortableness with its farm style aviation theme.  In these turbulent times this venue gives you a sense of patriotism that no other restaurant has.  Without even realizing it people felt a sense of camaraderie and I believe it came from just being there at the 56th.

It was also nice to let the over 150 people in attendance finally know that my company, NY Introductions, is NOT a dating service but a Social Media Marketing company.  That was something that I personally wanted to get out there… lol

After the event, right up until even today, I have received many great comments about that night, so that tells me it was a huge success.  I hope to do more in the future.

Regards,
Laurinda Handlik

VoIP Savings Come in All Forms: Business Case

  Vote
03 Oct

All those finance and spreadsheet junkies out there know there comes a time in building a business case when results from all the calculations start putting a smile on your face. In this economy, it’s more important than ever to build a solid business case to protect your project. In 2010, 77% of companies report flat or decreasing IT budgets (down from 86% in 2009, but still….) So when the budget axe looms, make sure you can document why it shouldn’t fall–at least not on the VOIP project. The most compelling way to make that happen is by using compelling figures from a business case. Our research, we have found several key areas that can show cost savings. Obviously, these all vary, depending on the specifics of your rollout–and you must balance them with the implementation, capital, and operational costs of the project. The savings side of the equation includes the following:

Cabling–In greenfield rollouts, you can reduce the number of Ethernet connections per desktop to one or
two, down from three to four. The average cabling cost per drop (including installation and materials) is $170. Even reducing the number of drops by one result in $8,500.00 savings for a 100-person office.

Electric usage—VoIP Systems which are Hosted don’t have servers for Voice Mail, the CPU running on site. Instead they are provided the power from the Hosting VoIP Provider who are serving 1000’s of customers providing them with Back up at redundant locations. Meanwhile your office has now need to continually have the old Telephone closet being cooled the only power being consumed is for the phones which when using Power Over Ethernet switches can be turned off when the office isn’t open. While your VoIP System is still running at the Hosted site Forwarding calls to Voice mail or to alternate answering locations if you have programmed it to be forwarded.

Telecommuting will trim energy costs and reduce the carbon footprint! -Teleworkers and
their employers significantly reduce energy use and save money. Over the course of a year, the Average American could save 340 gallons of gas, more than $1,200.00 in gas cost and more than There Tons of carbon-dioxide emissions by Teleworking. Annual, a worker with a one-way commute of 22 miles could save 81,000 Megajoules of energy by working five days a week. This is the equivalent to 55% of the
annual energy consumption of the average household!

Capital (hardphone vs. softphone)–Increasingly, companies are adopting softphones as a replacement
for IP hardphones. Nearly 70% of organizations are increasing their adoption of soft phones, and only 18% of companies have no plans for any softphone. Considering that the average company spends between
$200 and $400 for each IP hardphone, on average, the softphone movement can help decrease one of the
most–and in some cases, the most–expensive part of a VOIP implementation. Softphones typically cost $50 to $150 per license, plus another $50 for a USB headset.

In-house conferencing–Some organizations have found huge cost savings by bucking the latest trend of
selective outsourcing. By bringing audio- and Web conferencing

In-house conferencing–Some organizations have found huge cost savings by bucking the latest trend of
selective outsourcing. By bringing audio- and Webconferencing servers in house, you may save some significant dollars by reducing monthly conferencing costs. Putting an average number on this one is difficult because it depends on how extensive your conferencing costs are and what percentage of those calls can come in house. This savings generally applies to large, global organizations that have sizable global conferencing requirements—and that also has an internal staff that can manage the servers.

Hosted offerings–On the flip side, though, some companies do see savings by going toward hosted or third-party services. This doesn’t apply to every company, but those who need 24 x 7 service (and don’t have the staff and/or expertise to provide it) and who need new equipment (but don’t have the capital
budget to fund it) may fund decent savings with hosted offerings. Several offerings for small and midsize businesses charge $30 to $50 per user, depending on what services or applications are required. Meanwhile, the average first-year implementation, capital and operational cost for VOIP per person are $1,100. So, it’s fairly straightforward to make the case for a hosted VOIP offering—if the company is accepting of third party services and if there is a service available to all the areas you need to reach.
MAC’s and maintenance–This continues to be one of the big areas of cost savings for VOIP. Using a third party, Moves, Adds, and Changes cost anywhere from $65 to $400 per MAC, depending on the city and the response time required. Move to VOIP, and internal staff can handle it easily for about $8 to $10 per MAC. Additionally, companies are reducing maintenance charges. This year, 61% of companies reduced maintenance contracts throughout the organization with an average savings of 12%. In some cases, telecom staffs brought the maintenance functions in house. In others, they reduced the level of service. But for new or expanding implementations, by using a centralized architecture, they were able to reduce the number of PBXs on which they need a maintenance contract.

Staff reductions (IT, receptionists)–Staff reductions must be another part of the analysis. On average, companies ultimately reduce the combined telecom/network staff by one position, but this doesn’t always happen right away. It typically takes companies two years to build the expertise they need in order to effectively manage and maintain the network. The average salary is $77,000 in addition to a 30% loading factor. Another staff position often reduced is receptionists. By using VoIP to streamline communications between numerous branch locations (rather than operate each as its own island), companies can use automated attendant features for locations that do not require an in-person receptionist for visitors. Basically, one receptionist can handle up to five locations and transfer calls over the IP network rather
than asking customers to hang up and dial a different number. The average salary of a receptionist is $35,000 to $45,000, also with a 30% loading.

Network & SIP trucking–On average, ompanies save 23% on their network costs when moving from a separate voice and data network to one that’s converged. This figure is highly dependent on what the company has in place today. I have never seen a true applies-to-apples comparison for a network convergence project. Not only can you expect some architecture changes–the speed of the circuits and ports typically changes, as well. Companies also are moving to SIP trucking in droves. More than half of companies are deploying SIP trucking today, versus 31% last year. Companies report saving up to 60% when they replace ISDN PRI lines with SIP trunks. There are other ways companies save money with VoIP implementations. The key is that no two companies are alike, and where they derive savings depends on current and future state of the organization. It’s imperative for IT leaders to insist on a comprehensive business case, examining the factors described here and others that may be pertinent to their specific businesses. 4 Myths About Anger

July 17, 2011 by Eileen Lichtenstein

 Myth #1:

Anger is inheritedResearch has indicated that people are not born with set, specific ways of expressing anger.  These studies show that because the expression of anger is learned behavior, more appropriate ways of expressing anger can be learned.

Myth #2:  Anger Automatically Leads to Aggression
It is a misconception that athe only way to express anger is through aggression.  Effective anger management involves controlling the escalation of anger by learning assertiveness skills, changing negative and hostile “self-talk”, challenging irrational beliefs and implementing a variety of behavioral strategies.Myth #3: People Must Be Aggressive to Get What They Want
Many people confuse assertiveness with aggression.  The goal of aggression is to dominate, intimidate, harm or injure another person- to win at any cost.  Conversely, the goal of assertiveness is to express feelings of anger in a way that is respectful of other people.Myth #4  Venting Anger Is Always Desirable
Anger is learned and can easily become a routine, predictable response, an inappropriate pattern, to a variety of situations,  resulting in negative consequences.  Venting anger in an aggressive way reinforces aggressive behavior. To break the anger habit, an awareness must be developed of the events, circumstances and behaviors that “trigger” your anger.  In addition to becoming aware of anger, you need to learn and develop strategies to manage it.I am a Certified Anger Management Specialist.  My office is in Wantagh, NY I also hold sessions via Video SKYPE and telephone.

I recently attended the Social Media Marketing Conference in New York at the Pennsylvania Hotel across from Penn Station last Wednesday, July 27. I learned a lot and also contributed to some of the discussions.
It was given by Skillpath and some of the seminars on writing, tracking results, and monitoring your online reputation. A total of ten classes were offered from two speakers and we all got to network with new people from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.

One month in business…

Yes, time flies when you are having fun ;-)

It has been one Month already since I got my license. Tomorrow that is. The day before my birthday in June I received the valuable paper.

It has been a blast. Currently I have 2 full time and 2 part-time children. Three 4 year olds and one 1 year old.

Doing school work with the children is a pleasure, because they are like sponges; absorbing everything. And the learning experience continues with the crafts. From making a caterpillar to making butterflies and from sunflowers to the sun.

I listen to their conversations when they play ‘at the fair’, ‘having a sleep-over’ or just ‘mom and dad and the kids’.

I have to give them all an A+ for trying all foods at lunch and most of the time finishing everything on their plate. They love playing together. From fantasy play with dinosaurs to playing with water guns in the backyard, or from doing a puzzle together, school work or crafts.

I made muffins with them, Howie had a water gun fight with them. We have so much fun that some of them even ask mommy or daddy if they can stay for a little while longer at pick-up time.

I would like to thank everybody who donated toys, blankets, hoola hoops, pillows, puzzles, tables and chairs, towels, video tapes, comforters, etc. And keep me in mind; with so many kids playing, running and jumping, things break and I will ALWAYS need more ;-)
