I have seen John’s presentations in action and his 11 tips for effective trade show marketing are excellent, brief, and to the point. If you are working a trade show for your business, I advise you to contact this man or for even more information, buy his book Tips and Tales From the Booth.

John Hill is much more than that. He is the founder of LIASB (Long Island Advancement Of Small Business), a business networking group that holds events, books public speakers, and educates its members. The success of LIASB during its first year highlights John’s ability to start a business group and market its benefits and pretty soon, the one year anniversary celebration will come up on October 26 and he has a group of social media marketing team members working hard to make it a success online.

When I first met John at Ron Gold’s marketing group in early 2009, we hit it off, but I did not get a chance to show John what I could do for his business. We did not cross paths in 2009 very much, but now I have the pleasure of speaking to John on a weekly basis about different topics. John says that I personally move around quickly from project to project, but I also find that he is pretty quick himself and is able to juggle multiple extense projects as well.

Add Your Comment About John Here

If you have had the pleasure of working with John Hill on any level, feel free to comment on this blog post?

Questions:

How have you worked with John on any level? Have you hired him?

What do you think of John’s amazing efforts running the LIASB?

Has John hired your company for any project?

I look forward to your comments.

I met Lewis Merle at the Long Island Social Media Camp at St. Joseph College in Patchogue. He attended my Facebook page design class and was very enthusiastic about the format of the class and was pleasantly surprised that web designers can design Facebook pages.

Lew told me that he was a web designer himself and has developed several ecommerce web sites. I visited his web site to learn about him at www.LewisMerle.com.

If you read the home page on Lew’s web site, you will quickly find out that that he is up to date and an expert on ecommerce trends, so having him design your ecommerce site is a good move. His home page also has a section called “What can be lost by not having one?”. I think this section of his web site is a must read and Lew’s quick story about why his plumber closed his storefront shows the importance of the web.

If you want to know more about Lewis Merle, you can read his resume at http://www.lewismerle.com/resume.html, find out about his services at http://www.lewismerle.com/MyServices.html and look at his work on his portfolio at http://www.lewismerle.com/portfolio.html

As a web application programmer myself, I can talk with Lew from a technical standpoint and I learned that his knowledge of PHP and MySQL as well as other development languages is well-advanced.

Visit LewisMerle.com right now and learn more about Lewis and his services.

We know that was Alfred E. Newman from “Mad Magazine” and everyone went around saying it.
The thing is- worrying is an energy vampire- and we are human- so many of us are “worriers” even when we know better.. below are some stats to back that up; did you know that:
40% of worrying is about things that will never happen
30% of worrying is over things that can’t be changed
10% of worrying is over health (which only gets worse when you worry)
We spend 92% of our time and energy worrying about things that:
1. We have no control over
2. We can’t possibly change
3. We have misperceptions about

Worrying is like stepping on the gas pedal while the car is in neutral: we create a lot of noise, use energy and don’t go anywhere! EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) works extraordinarily well to overcome anxiety, fear and worry. Learn more about EFT: http://www.balanceandpower.com/eft.php and my NEW! Summer Series in Baldwin for July-August and one:one trainings http://www.balanceandpower.com/events. If you have a group at your location, I will be happy to facilitate there. I’ve just returned from a wonderful EFT-ADV continuing education training in Nyack, NY, and am excited to share new techniques and reliable tried and true ones! I know that I’m a “worrier” and that EFT is miraculous! as are other techniques that I combine with Peak Performance Success Coaching in my venues.
Even if you’ve had worry role models all your life, and/or a genetic predisposition towards anxiety, you can reset your M.O. and create new mind-body patterns with repetition and practice and a good teacher-coach. It’s never too late!

What clients are saying about Eileen’s coaching and training:
“Eileen is truly an amazing coach. She is great to work with. If you are looking to reach goals that you think are almost impossible to attain, whether career or personal, visit with or call Eileen… She will get you there…and quickly!”
- Susan Brozinsky, Manager
“I want to let you know, Eileen, that since our sessions I’ve really been able to relax and approach life with a positive outlook. Thank you!’
- Steven Edelstein, Financial Services Professional
The Island Financial Group
“After just one session with you, I have to say that you are a very special being with a wonderful energy and spirit. After our session, I recalled the importance of learning (not to mention “hanging out” or networking) with an upbeat, enthusiastic, and fun coach/teacher. And that’s you! Your attitude makes a huge difference in confidence, motivation, and my attitude about the subject of EFT.”
- Ron Haugen
CEO Proficiency Training Programs

“I want to thank you so very much for helping me in my quest to speak and give presentations in public. I saw a remarkable difference at my first presentation using the EFT, I was very calm and relaxed, there was no anxiety. I have since been using this technique before stressful situations with increasingly positive results, i.e I feel more confident and sure of myself.. I am still a long way off from my goal but each situation represents practice which in turn will become perfect.”
With Much gratitude,
- Hannah Park Lusterman, SOC Appreciation Marketing
www.thereferralspecialist.com
“Eileen’s Presentation was very engaging and well received by all. We are living in an economic climate full of stress and endless things to do. Most people do not take the time out of their busy schedules to relax, balance and effectively manage the stress in their lives. Your program is highly recommended for all to become a well-rounded, balanced person.”
- Georgia Joseph-Gant, Director
Freeport Business & Professional Resource Support Group

“Eileen’s seminars were interesting, informative and presented in a clear and unique way. The techniques she taught us are valuable techniques for reducing stress on the job.”
- E.I., Associate Provost for Information Systems, Hofstra University.
“I believe we all went away with some useful tips on balancing our lives and reducing our stress levels.” – JB, VP Credit and Loan Administration, The Suffolk County National Bank

Through a combination of entrepreneurial savvy, networking, public relations and charitable goodwill, Mr. Kruse has been a driving force in developing alliances & business organizations that have helped distinguish Long Island as a dynamic place to live, work and play… Newsday’s A.J. At a turning point in her life she packed 2 suitcases, sold everything that did not fit in, and went to the Dominican Republic (DR). She had no place to live, no work, and only $200.00 in her pocket. She managed to do well and stayed there for almost 8 years.

Yvonne came to the United States in January 2004 to become a live-in nanny for a friend she had met in the DR while managing a scuba diving center. The years spend in the DR were very interesting and definitely a learning experience.

Yvonne LOVES working with kids. And she has been working in a daycare center for almost 4 years now. She is getting hugs and kisses every day at work!! Yvonne also likes to live a happy and healthy life. It is important to eat the right foods, exercise regularly and take the right supplements to live a healthy life (http://www.YoungLiving.org/hoyo888).

Her other passion is networking. Since almost 4 years she has run the Long Island Entrepreneurs Meetup Group (http://www.meetup.com/LongIslandEntrepreneurs/) and has been having successful meetings each and every month

Knowing Yvonne for 2 years now, I really don’t know how she does it. She’s amazing! She has her day job and then runs side businesses including her supplement business and her 3 business networking groups. She types up amazing documents that she happily shares with her friends and colleagues. She blogs an average of 7 times per week and blogs more than anyone that I know. Check her blog out at http://longislandentrepreneurs.wordpress.com/

Feel free to comment about her in this blog post.
